After Eight
The Mint Chocolate-covered sugar confectionary we love, in liquid form.
Although it’s still a subject of debate, that Mint Chocolate tastes like toothpaste, we think it deserves a little more love— especially the experience of treating yourself to a piece of After Eights after a meal.
We’re excited to share the recipe; essentially a Grasshopper variation without the same heaviness and striking green hue.
- 1 oz homemade Crème de Cacao*
- 1 bar spoon Branca Menta
- 1/2 oz Decaf cold brew coffee
- 1/4 oz Demerara sugar syrup
- Garnish: Lemon peel rose with Mint bouquet

- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake.
- Double strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass. Garnish on a cocktail pick Lemon peel rose and Mint bouquet.
- Homemade Crème de Cacao: In a pan, toast 70gr of Cacao Nibs until aromatic. Combine the toasted Cacao Nibs and 190ml of Vodka in a non-reactive container. Sous vide for 3 hours at 50°C.
Filter through a cheesecloth the Vodka infused Cacao Nibs, and add 120gr of Dark brown sugar, a pinch of salt. Stir until dissolved.
